Join us for a rare and deeply meaningful professional development experience guided by Crow Shield Lodge (CSL), grounded in Indigenous teachings, relationship‑building, and connection to the natural world. This immersive session offers participants the opportunity to learn directly from Indigenous facilitators through ceremony, storytelling, and shared reflection, including a unique sweat lodge experience.

Held in a Shaputuan setting, this session emphasizes connection to the land, to one another, and to the teachings that highlight the interdependence of all living beings. Participants are invited to engage thoughtfully, listen deeply, and reflect on how these perspectives can inform both personal understanding and professional practice.

What to Expect

This session is designed as an interactive, experiential learning opportunity rather than a lecture‑based program. The flow of discussion will evolve based on the needs and reflections of the group.

Arrival: Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to allow time to settle in. A map and directions will be provided prior to the event.
Opening Ceremony: The session will begin in the Shaputuan, gathered around the fire for a smudge and prayer, followed by introductions to the facilitator(s) and Crow Shield Lodge.
Circle Discussion: Participants will be invited into a sharing circle, with space to reflect on what they hope to gain from the experience and respond to prompts offered by the facilitators.
Sweat Lodge Experience: Participants will take part in a guided sweat lodge ceremony, offered as a sacred space for reflection, connection, and learning.
Break: A mid‑session break will be provided, with snacks and refreshments available.
Closing: The session will close with shared reflection, grounded in the teachings and experiences of the day.
