I am a passionate, driven, and experienced internationally-trained lawyer currently registered for licensing in Ontario. I hold an LL.B. (Common Law) with honours from Nigeria, an LL.M. from a United States chartered university in Hungary, a Ph.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School, Toronto. I also hold the Certificate of Qualification (CQ) from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada/National committee on Accreditation. Over the years, I have worked variously in private, non-governmental settings as an advocate for social justice causes, as a policy researcher in a world-acclaimed think-tank, and as an academic at the tertiary education level. I am well published and will bring advanced research, writing, and advocacy skills to an articling position. Regardless of my background, I am adaptable and can work in a range of legal areas. A multifaceted legal student with international experience, holding an LLB from the University of The Gambia and an LLM from York University's Osgoode Hall Law School. I've also completed advanced human rights courses at the University of Pretoria, South Africa.

As a former Legal Research Officer for The Gambia's Constitutional Review Commission, I contributed to drafting a constitution for a population of two million. With extensive training in Canadian law from York University and currently an NCA candidate, I possess a unique blend of civil, common, and Canadian law expertise.
