I have significant international legal practice experience focused on secured/unsecured lending transactions, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance and general corporate/commercial advisory. I would like a broad Canadian articling experience with preference for corporate/commercial law, business law, real estate law, and regulatory compliance. My name is Naila Ali and I am interested in completing a work placement position at a law firm in the K-W area. I am currently enrolled in the Law Practice Program (LPP), which is an eight-month program, equivalent to articling and an approved pathway to completing the Ontario lawyer licensing process. There are two components to the LPP: a 4-month Virtual Training Component (August-December 2023) and a 4-month Work Experience Component to be completed with a principal lawyer (January-April 2024). I am actively looking for a work experience position to complete the second component of the LPP. I have over a year of international legal experience and four months of Canadian legal experience acquired through the LPP.
