Legal professionals often deal with challenges that can cause feelings of being overwhelmed, overworked, stressed, which can have significant impacts on personal and professional life. In this workshop the University of Waterloo's Centre for Mental Health Research and Treatment will focus specifically on teaching wellness principles that will promote work/life balance for lawyers and paralegals. Principles will incorporate psycho-education about mental health and will include ways to identify signs and symptoms mental health concerns in oneself and others, and evidence-based ways to reduce mental health difficulties, such as burnout, and increase positive mental health. **Please note this program is open to anyone working in the legal profession including lawyers, paralegals, law clerks and assistants.**
The program includes a pre-workshop survey for attendees to complete. Responses to the survey will be incorporated into the workshop to highlight attendees personal experience with presented material and to increase interactivity.
