The Intersection of Hi-Tech Stalking in Domestic Violence and Family Law Cases
When: Tuesday, October 29, 2026 at 12:00 PM
Where: Virtual Zoom
As technology becomes increasingly embedded in daily life, it is also increasingly weaponized in domestic violence and family law contexts. Technology-facilitated abuse (TFA) now appears in a substantial portion of cases, often in ways that are difficult to detect, prove, or litigate.
This webinar provides a practical, legally grounded examination of how modern technologies—including smartphones, spyware, GPS systems, social media, and smart home devices—are used to monitor, harass, and control victims. Participants will also learn evidence preservation strategies and client safety planning techniques.
The program emphasizes plain-language explanations of complex technologies, ensuring accessibility regardless of technical background.
CPD
This program has been approved by the Law Society of Ontario for 1 hour Substantive.
